A whole bunch of pillows

I finished making a bunch of Christmas pillows. I sold some to friends and I have a few left over that I'm giving as gifts to teachers for the girls. I might have to make a couple more, but that's ok! They are so fun to make and I'm really enjoying hand embroidery! (the piece of fabric included in the picture is what the backing fabric is) Pattern found here.

It's that time of year again!

I've been SO busy. Like, super super busy sewing. I've been sewing 6-8 hours every day. I made a bunch of Advent Calendars for friends this year and got those off and out to them.

Halloween Pillows

Here's what I've been working on for the past few weeks.
Some were gifts and some I sold to friends.
They are so fun to make!
You can find the pattern here

I plan on making "Christmas" ones, "Grandparents" ones, "every holiday you can imagine" ones, and "teacher" gift ones!

(And I taught myself how to hand embroider! Thanks YouTube!)

A Wedding Quilt

My cousin got married last month and I wanted to make them a quilt for their wedding gift. She has red sofas so I knew I wanted to make one that she could have out every day on her sofa. I got to use all my Rouenneries by French General that I had bought YEARS ago!

A Quilt for a Good Friend

One of the best friends I met in the Navy had a birthday in June and her husband took over as the Commanding Officer in a fighter jet squadron in July. I knew I had to make her a quilt. It's one I wanted to make her for a couple years now. Anyway, I finally finished it and sent it off. It's pretty much the same as the other Anna Maria Horner patchwork quilt I made last year. I will never tire of these beautiful fabrics.

Camping Travels

We had such a wonderful time camping! (Warning, heavy on the pictures post!)

We went to Nebraska's first State Park for a few days and then headed North to the Black Hills in South Dakota. WOW!
We were blown away. This coming from 2 California Natives that LOVE the Sierras, and have been to just about all the great State and National parks of California!
Our camp spot at Chadron State Park, Nebraska

Leaving Chadron, NE and heading to the Black Hills!
