Here's a quilt i finally finished for my friend. I'll be mailing it off to her tomorrow.
I finally used the last of my Verna too. Well, I think I still have some scraps but not much!
I had won a giveaway from Rachel of ps i quilt about 1 1/2 years ago. Right before Verna hit all the stores. I won a jelly roll, a layer cake, and a honey bun. I used the layer cake for my pinwheel sampler quilt. So since I already had a quilt for myself with this fabric, I decided to make a quilt for my friend with the jelly roll.
(yes, one section of my fence is new, the other old!)
Quilt stats:
Measures 57"x57" (I wish I would have made it bigger, but oh well!)
Pattern: Random Reflections found here
Fabric: Verna by Kate Spain
Binding: a fabric I bought at Hobby Lobby
Backing: 2 fabrics from the Verna line and some white that I had.
One more off my "to do" list! YAY!!
It's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt! I didn't really appreciate Verna back when it came out...... now that it's almost impossible to find, I'm loving it... I love anything by Kate Spain... I am about ready to start a quilt with my stash of Fandango..... :)
ReplyDeleteGreat quilt pattern for jelly rolls and this looks wonderful! Lovely job.
ReplyDeleteLooks gorgeous - I really like the pattern.

ReplyDeleteI hope you have a great week!!
Sincerely, Trish
It's just beautiful! This is one of my all time favorite designs. What a lucky friend!
ReplyDeleteJennifer :)
This is beautiful! I really love the Verna in this pattern. The one I picked for mine didn't work out well...I'm still trying to think of something cool.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I still haven't written you back so don't run to the mailbox for the next day or so. Work has been too nuts (no lunch breaks even!) and every night after work I've had committments...and will until this weekend. But I'm going to try to write a little at a time and hopefully send you something in the next day or so.
Hi Jen, Several months ago I won one of your give aways. I finally figured out how I was going to use the charm pack and as soon as I finish a few more blocks I will post a picture.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the win.
