quick post... (non quilty!)

...to let you all know I'm still alive.
Hubby made it home safe and sound. Hurray!!
We had a "date night" last Friday.
(and in case you are wondering, NO he didn't go out in a wife beater! he was wearing it because he bbq'd burgers for the sitter and kids before we left! When I posted this to my facebook page, of course we got a lot of smart-ass remarks from all his buddies about his "wife beater" tank top!)

Date night turned into a "tattoo night". Yes, you read that right! I got my first tattoo. A Red Hot Chili Peppers symbol on my left ankle. He got a swallow holding three hearts.

Then on Monday we went to Disneyland for 3 days. So yeah, we've been quite busy!
Happy Daddy with his happy girls!

And...we have orders! The move is set up and we have a place to live! We are getting packed out the week of the 22nd and will start our cross country trek from California to Newport, Rhode Island on the 25th!
AND...I only have 3 quilts left out of my long list of "to-dos" before we move!
I think I can, I think I can.....

  2. You will love Newport! :-). Winters take a bit of adjustment, but it is a gorgeous area. Just moved to north of Green Bay, WI because hubby is at shipyard to help build LCS. There are two awesome quilt shops in the area...yay!

  4. Wow - cold weather? CA to RI? Wor, you might just have lots of indoor time to quilt during the long, cold winter months (?) Have fun with the family and keep us posted on your move. Sounds like a great adventure!

  5. Yay! I'm so excited for you to have your hubby home. And what a brave girl you are to get a tattoo! I want one but I always chicken out.
