I finally did it...

..bought a whole bolt of Warm & White Cotton Batting! (90" x 40 yards) I went to Joann's on Saturday and the batting was 50% off, normally $10.99/yard on sale for $5.49/yard. Then I had a coupon for 20% off my entire purchase! So I paid approx $4.39/yard! I'm so excited. I got sick of buying 5-7 yards at a time and then having this folded up wad of of batting shoved in a cupboard. So now this way, I have it all on a bolt and in a box (that now I have to find a place for!) But hey, maybe this will motivate me to go through a couple closets and weed out some crap!

  1. I am so jealous. I'm also sick of buying it a bit at a time. Way to go! You are set for life.

  2. What a great idea! I keep telling myself that 2011 is the year to learn how to do my own machine quilting. I'm going to Joann's today with coupons in hand...

  3. Uh, too bad it won't fit under a bed somewhere, huh?

  4. When my stash of batting runs out, that is the way I am going to go...

  5. Makes me warm and cozy just looking at it. Did you know you can piece those spares together?

  7. Good for you! I bought 8 yards and the girl cut it so crooked I lost about 6". I'm highly annoyed. At least you get any extra that might be on the bolt as opposed to their finger pinching inaccuracy that I bought. =(

I shopped that sale too. =)
