Cowboy Quilt

Another one of my husband's cousins is having a baby. They are doing the whole room cowboy themed and thankfully I already had some fabric I'd been dying to use for a while.

Fabric is Lil' Cowpokes and Lil' Cowgirl by Michael Miller. And there are some other fabrics from my stash thrown in there. It's kinda busy, but I like it. It's comprised of 10" blocks of the featured fabric (Lil' cowpokes) and then 16 - 2.5" (finished) squares of patchwork making a 10" block.

  1. I LOVE how this turned out. It's busier than I imagined it in my head but I really, really like it! Did she like it?

  2. I have some of the Cowpoke fabric and really like this pattern piecing - I don't think it that busy for a child.

  5. Too cute! I think that everything has kind of an equal wight and will give the little one lots to look at during nap time! When I make quilts I love to think of the kiddos in the car or during nap time, tracing the quilting, looking at the fabric and making designs their own designs in their head out of the design I made!
