all because of c c.....

It's all her fault that I picked up my crochet hook again. I mean seriously, is this amazing or what? My word girl, you've some some serious talent! So I'll say it again, thank you for inspiring me!

I'm not solely working on this, so this is something that will be a work in progress over many months. I wanted something portable to be able to do when we move from California to Rhode Island in August, and this is perfect! Especially since we are driving and pulling our trailer. I'll be able to do this on the road while I'm in the truck and when when stop for the night.

crochet baby blanket

This has been done for a while waiting on me to weave in all the ends of the yarn when I finished a skein. But now it's all done and ready to be sent. It's going to a fellow blogger who is pregnant w/ a little girl! I started this before she knew what she was having figuring it's an aqua color and would be appropriate for either a boy or a girl. The color is so hard to capture in a photo! It's called "Ocean Spray" by Naturally Caron in the Country yarn. It's so soft! (measures: 34"x39")

For the pattern and how I made this, see this post.

Giveaway!

I've decided to give away this baby blanket (minus the ball of yarn!), that seems like I've been working on forever! It's not all the way done yet (hence the ball of yarn in the picture) and I figure this may motivate me to finish it up over the next day or so. It's pink, purple and white and I'm guessing will measure approximately 32"x 34" (give or take!) It's very soft and light weight. It's machine washable and dryable, as well; I usually suggest a gentle cycle on both. I'll draw on Monday for the winner. Good luck!

So here it goes....1st post....

I got this new book and I absolutely love it. I had to try some of the patterns out.

Now, I've only ever crocheted blankets and dishcloths so I wasn't sure how these would turn out, but I think they turned out cute!

peanut butter & jelly sandwich

pancakes

apple wedges

apple

These were fun! I'll work on some more over the next few days.

Maybe one of these days I'll have some time to sit at my sewing machine to finish a quilt I started a couple months ago!
